The Elisha Project, founded in 2011, is dedicated to addressing food insecurity by providing culturally sensitive food assistance to families in need throughout Rhode Island. What began with a $48 investment to deliver 24 meals has grown into a significant operation, distributing 400,000 pounds of food weekly to 50,000 families. The organization rescues food from local businesses and collaborates with over 40 social service agencies, ensuring that diverse communities receive fresh, healthy food. The Elisha Project’s unique approach includes delivering food directly to homes, a critical service for families lacking transportation, and hosting share markets that make nutritious food accessible to all.

Steer Films was selected to create a short brand film for the Elisha Project, leveraging our expertise in crafting impactful, concise narratives. Our capability to highlight the human element within these stories ensured that the Elisha Project’s mission was portrayed with the depth and empathy it deserved. Through powerful visuals and compelling storytelling, we showcased the profound impact of the Elisha Project, not just in terms of food distribution, but in fostering community spirit and hope. This film serves as a testament to Steer’s ability to convey the essence of organizations that are making a significant difference in people’s lives.
